We have learned that it doesn't always pay to shop around. We were approved through a smaller company and when we went to our closing, we realized that things were not as agreed and the fees, doubled and our monthly mortgage payment went up by close to 70% of the Good Faith estimate. Needless to say, we did not sign.

As experienced home buyers, My wife and I have had great experiences doing mortgage loans over the years with Suzy Taylor before she became employed with Swift Home Loans. Recently, we found a new home we wanted to purchase. We made application with Suzy on July 5th, 2007 with a quick closing date of July 23rd. Swift Home Loans got the loan approved and ready to go well within that time period. Right before the closing date, we ran into a title problem on the home we were selling. Everyone involved in curing the problem worked very had to get it resolved. We closed a few days later than expected, but it could have taken much longer without the diligence and support of the Swift staff working to get us into our new home.
I told Suzy to let her boss, Kevin Swift know that she represented the company's name well by being 'Swift' and that I was glad she didn't work for a place called 'Lethargic Home Loans'.
